Robeez Shoes

Finding shoes for babies can be a real challenge! A great shoe has to look nice, stay on the feet of even the most determined toddler, and provide enough flexibility to promote healthy feet and proper walking. Robeez shoes for babies do all that and more--they're even machine washable and safe for babies to chew on!

Babies and toddlers may not be vain, but we parents like for them to look nice just the same. The first thing I noticed when I saw a pair of Robeez was how cute they are. There are only two basic styles--slip ons and boots--but they are sold in 20 different colors, with over 70 different designs! For girls, parents can choose between princesses, ladybugs, bows, flowers, dragonflies, and a whole host of other adorable appliqués. Boys' shoes have balls, trucks, monkeys, trains, and more. There are even plain pink, blue, white, and brown shoes for babies who prefer a more sedate look.

Not only are Robeez fabulously cute, but they are also the only shoe that would ever stay on my kids' feet. The elastic is firm but not tight, and the shoe comes up high enough on the foot that parents have to tug on the heel to get it off. I've lost toys, sippy cups, hats, socks, and jackets--but my kids still have all of their pairs of Robeez intact.

As a parent, though, what's most important to me about my kids' shoes is that they are flexible enough that even the newest of walkers won't trip over bulky soles. I want my kids to grow up with healthy feet, and all of the research shows that flexible shoes are the best for proper walking and foot development. Robeez have super flexible suede soles, which have the added benefit of being both warm and skid resistant. Wearing Robeez is just as good as being barefoot, but gives tiny toes protection from rocks and dirt.

As if all that wasn't enough to make Robeez a great purchase for any soon-to-be toddler, Robeez have the added benefit of being both machine washable and safe to chew on. Parents don't have to worry if their kids spill spaghetti sauce on their feet and then try to lick it off. Throw the shoes in the washing machine and the sauce will come out, and know that the dyes and leather-curing agents all meet toy safety requirements.

Once your kids start riding bikes and traipsing through the woods, then parents will want to find their kids some sturdier footwear. Until then, though, Robeez are the perfect baby and toddler shoes.
